Idiom of the week – Go the extra mile

Definition:

do more than is required to reach a goal

Examples:

I prefer to buy from that company. They always go the extra mile to make sure their customers are satisfied.

She’s a great teacher. She goes the extra mile to meet the needs of her students.

Picture it:

Picture asking a person to walk one mile, and then having that person respond by walking two miles.
