Idiom of the week – Down the road

in the future

Examples:

I’m not sure what our plans will be down the road.

Down the road, we plan to expand the business.

Picture it:

If something is down the road, you haven’t arrived there yet; it is in the future. Note: This idiom has the same meaning as “down the line.”
